This portal was created at the initiative of the Human Rights NGO “Citizens’ Watch” based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia (www.citwatch.org). CW has performed trial monitoring since 1992.

Our mission

We believe that the democratic society cannot exist without an independent and impartial court system and fair trial proceedings. Trial monitoring helps to improve the work of courts and creates conditions for judges to make fair decisions.
